Our research plan is structured on elucidating 3 novel functions of the NF-kB pathway that affect the response to current and novel therapies of patients with lymhomas or multiple myeloma. As shown in the figure our first aim relates the function of the NF-kB pathway in preventing normal cells to adquiere mutations that drive tumor development. Our second aim associates mutations of the NF-kB pathway with response to myeloma therapies. Finally, our third aim focus on classifying tumors based on the driving signals that mantain tumor growth; hence, allowing the selection of specific inhibitors in these tumors.
